The Sad State of Our Discourse
I freely admit to a bit of hyperbole now and then. However, the Obama birth certificate issue will probably never be settled to some people's satisfaction:
But there's a bigger problem here than the document's chain of custody. It involves the difference between a "Certificate of Live Birth" and a "Certification of Live Birth". This is the latter, despite Kos' identification of it as the former.
This guy is complaining that the birth certificate posted on Daily Kos doesn't look like what he thinks it should look like, nor does it state whether or not Obama's parents were married at the time, nor does it look like a birth certificate from 1961, nor does it slice a tomato paper thin, nor does it(insert your random qualifier here).
Just like the Larry Sinclair morass, there is literally nothing Obama can do to convince some of these people that they are wrong. No amount of evidence, no matter how solid it is, can refute the world they built up in their minds.
It is just sad.
